Looking North: Entrance to the farm
We now grow full-time on an acre of flowers and vegetables at our new farm near Siler City, NC, on the historic Marley House property. After several years working the terraced hillsides around our 1850s home in Cedar Falls, we’ve transitioned to a larger, flatter space that allows for more efficient growing and new opportunities.
Our focus is on fresh, seasonal blooms and select vegetables, all grown using organic practices—or better. This year, we’re excited to launch a regular farm stand and open a you-pick flower patch. We can’t wait to share what’s growing.
Our farmers market setup includes seasonal mixed bouquets and jars. Additionally, we may have straight bunches of flowers, specialty mixes or even produce. Everything we sell we grow. Everything we grow, we grow following organic practices or better. Follow us on Instagram to stay up-to-date on our weekly offerings. Tuesdays - 4pm to 6pm: Fearrington Farmers Market in Pittsboro. Saturdays - 8am to Noon: The Corner Farmers Market.
From April to November we make twice weekly deliveries to the co-op grocery store in Pittsboro called Chatham Marketplace. Selling there is special for us. Selling to the co-op is how we got started in 2019 before expanding out into farmers markets and CSAs. Evan also managed this store for the first five years that we lived in North Carolina.
Available every-other week in season, you can purchase our seasonal mixed bouquets through Millboro & Co's Online Store. Convenient pick-up and delivery options in the Guilford/ Randolph County area. 5 minutes up the road from us, these wonderful neighbors are working on building a resilient food community and we love getting to be a part of it.
In early Spring each year we offer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) subscriptions in partnership with two farms. Millboro & Co for pick-ups in the Asheboro area and Four Dog Farm for pick-ups in the Pittsboro area. CSAs are great for farmers and locavores alike. We get much needed money upfront during the part of the year where money isn't coming in yet and you get a deal for paying up front. Subscriptions can be standalone or an add-on to vegetable subscriptions with these farms.

Nicole and Evan are Deep River Flower Farm. They moved to North Carolina in 2019, relocating from Pittsburgh, PA. For the first five years in NC, Evan worked full-time in Pittsboro managing the co-op while Nicole built up a flower farm business from scratch and worked part-time for two vegetable farms. Little by little Evan would need to start helping on days off and before and after work. As of 2024, they now both work full-time on farm.
The couple began farming by working for a family in western MD in 2010. In 2011, they worked for an orchard in central PA before moving to Pittsburgh. There Nicole continued to gain farm experience working farmers markets for a vegetable farm for several seasons as well as for a goat farm that produced cheese. In Pittsburgh, the couple began Centervue Gardens and attended a weekly farmers market.
